- The controls for the toilet were entirely in Japanese. I had to get my friend to tell me which button was 'flush' (thankfully I knew to check for this BEFORE I went). Labels in English are strongly advised.
- An unattended vacuum cleaner left out in hallway with bag of disposable slippers for most of the day. I suggest moving it into the stairwell, just 1 meter away. Also, why is there a fan always on, always next to the stairwell? (A photo was submitted.).
- Single ply toilet paper in a four star hotel. Suggest upgrade to two-ply.
- I had difficulty figuring out the shower. I needed to 1) turn on, then 2) pull the knob on the bath spout to swap the water flow from bath spout to shower head, in that order. A small sign is necessary.
Restaurants
- They ran out of forks by 930. I'm sure if I asked for one they'd bring more, but more attentiveness by staff about this one thing is suggested.
- Butter in a bowl next to pound cake was not labelled. Looked like cheese. I learnt the hard way.
- Plates and cutlery is at the beginning of the buffet, and bowls are next to the yogurt, cereal and fruit salad at the end. But the spoons are with the cutlery at the beginning! Suggest a second box of spoons be placed next to the bowls.
- Photo frames on wall not straight (see attached photos). Customers probably knock them as they stand up and shuffle down the seats, but straightening these should be part of daily closing/opening procedure.
- The frame in the hallway with the light has a poster which isn't straight. (A photo was submitted.)
